Luxury Residential Development to Be Built in the Village of Akanthou

A new premium residential development, consisting of upmarket villas and high-end apartments, will be built in the village of Akanthou (Gazimağusa District). The Aurora Bay project will offer a total of 58 properties with sea views. The houses are a five-minute walk from the lagoon with a sandy beach.

The project consists of 14 two-storey villas with private infinity pools, six houses with a large communal swimming pool, and 38 apartments. On the roofs of all villas, the developer will make terraces offering views of the surroundings.

All apartments will have a 1+1 layout (one bedroom and one living room) and a loft-style design. These units are suitable for those looking for comfortable coastal living, without having to pay excessive taxes and utility bills.

Prices at Aurora Bay start at £138,000 ($178,000). There has not been any information about the possibility of instalment payments yet.

In addition to a large communal swimming pool, the infrastructure of the residential development will include several parking areas, a restaurant, a gym, a sauna, and a playground. The developer of the project is Tunalı Construction. Completion is scheduled for 2025.

Akanthou (Tatlısu) is a small village in the TRNC, which has the status of a municipality in Gazimağusa District. The settlement is at an altitude of 352 metres above sea level and has a population of about 1,500. The inhabitants are mainly Turkish Cypriots engaged in agriculture. However, with the growing popularity of Northern Cyprus as a real estate investment destination, the village started receiving migrants from Europe.
